![]() In a normal installation, the files used by theWord are spread to several folders according to the official Microsoft recommendations (see Files used by theWord for details). These can be selected during installation from the installer (the UFD - USB Flash Drive- installation is a sub-type of the compact installation that allows you to create completely portable installations). There are basically two installation types: normal installation and compact installation. You can import at a later time notes that you created with version 2 from the File->Import personal notes. ![]() If you upgrade from version 2, some settings may not be properly migrated, but all your notes will still be migrated. All your personal settings are safely preserved. You can install a newer version of theWord over a previous one if you want to upgrade.
